Play For All! We mean it! We believe that access — physical, emotional, intellectual, and financial — is critical to the mission of the Museum. All children benefit from learning through play. The Museum takes pride in its ongoing efforts to provide all visitors with this opportunity in a safe, welcoming environment. 

Play Without Boundaries is the Museum’s sensory-friendly event series. During Play Without Boundaries, the Museum is adapted to provide a relaxed environment for individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and other sensory or communication needs. The Museum is closed to the general public for two hours and turns down lighting and sound to provide a quieter experience for families.

The Museum offers tools to enhance your visit including pre-trip guides and programming with educators who are trained for autism sensitivity. Community partner resources are also provided. Click here for our “Know Before You Go” guide for sensory-sensitive visitors.
